but also to the efficacy of the precious blood, and that Jesus is in glory at the right hand of the Majesty on high. It is therefore incorrect to ask God for the gift of His Spirit, or to plead promises which He fulfilled on the day of Pentecost. It is not scriptural to pray for a greater baptism of the Spirit, as it is often done, or, to ask God to give more of the Spirit.
